A Splash of Creativity

“ A thing of beauty is a joy for ever” said John Keats.

Nature with her bountiful spread of mountains, valleys, rivers, and forests is attributed to be a gift of God. The pristine purity in her creation makes her the most beautiful element and there is none who has not fallen in love with her. The five elements – sky, wind, fire, water, and earth along with the planets and galaxies leave us with a source of wonder and admiration for the Creator. A mere glance at all these helps us to forget ourselves and lead us to a private world of our own.

In Hindu mythology, it is believed that Lord Brahma emerged out of the navel of Lord Vishnu for the purpose of creation. It was just a mere artistic disport of Lord Vishnu to indulge in creativity. He created Brahma and gave Him the job of creation. The entire space was available for Brahma to draw a canvas in which he could build this universe. It is said that Lord could manage this at his best, by selflessly passing on the seed and the power of creativity to others who followed him and therefore a wonderful world was created.

The fact is unless we observe and absorb this magical process of creation, we will not be able to understand the “creation” to create anything. Many an imagination has taken its birth in the form of poetry, prose, paintings, crafts, music, and dance due to the immense appreciation and understanding of the value and beauty behind this creativity, leaving a sense of pure joy and everlasting happiness within. Therefore, firstly we need to wake up from the slumber, notice, perceive and get engrossed in the wonderful process of creation to get the blessings of the creator.

Once we step into the mood of creation, resources usher in to us. Unseen paths will pave their way leading us to our desired goal. We start smelling the air of positivity and feel the touch of God in whatever we do. We also need to be passively aware of all that is unfolding before us and silently perceive the transformation taking place within us. Unless we make a choice to disturb our minds by brooding over trivialities, everything that is good, will happen on its own. Undoubtedly, we need to be sincere about our efforts, update ourselves, expand our horizon of thinking and utter prayers to actualize our wishes.

Therefore, whenever we get something to enjoy, we need to pause and think of its creator. This thought would not only help us develop a sense of gratitude for the Creator but also prod us to create something back in return, out of joy. This will make us more action-oriented to manage our task more efficiently. We breathe fresh and indulge selflessly and our minds are purged off all negativity. We get more time at our disposal as unwarranted issues get weeded out. Our focus and determination get sharper and our intelligence will aid us to create something new. In that zone of happiness, we shall splash our creativity and feel one with the Creator.
