Book Review- The Christmas Cobwebs

As we set out to discover Christmas and the festivities around it, we chanced upon this lovely German folklore- The Christmas Cobwebs. The awesome story about Christmas Cobwebs that dear Santa changes into silver strands!! We loved it. The kids of course loved the 7 spiders and I loved how even Santa knows what can make mothers happy and unhappy.

this lovely German folklore- The Christmas Cobwebs.

Review: This book is based on a German folklore that explains why we decorate Christmas Tree with silver  strands. Yes it emerged from a Mommytale and is very engaging.

this lovely German folklore- The Christmas Cobwebs.

This is imagination at its cutest. We enter a typical German household at Christmas time. The excitement of bringing in a tree. The custom of cleaning the house before Santa drops in. The spiders and what they do best -building cobwebs around the house. And Santa saving the day for everyone with his magical touch.
What my twins learnt and loved: The twins Aaditia & Ishani enjoyed presenting The Christmas Cobwebs with their own illustrations during a Summer reading challenge in there class. The ease of reading the book and the inspiring illustrations only made their work easy. They are first time readers and its very encouraging for them to be able to read this book again and again.
