Is it scary?

No it is not. It is a kid appropriate movie, with a hint of toilet humour.

Is it fun?

Yes and No. The Boss Baby surely was not a movie for my almost 6 yrs. old twins. While the animation is superb, the plot is too convoluted for kids.

Take this; In The Boss Baby there is a rich premise of sibling rivalry with the arrival of the new baby. But hold on, actually the baby is a spy on a mission and is really a corporate boss eyeing the corner office in his establishment. Hang in there, because there is also the entire thread of babies vs puppies fight here.Phew.

Honestly, we went in expecting a great face-off between the siblings and how they eventually come around to be family. The story seems to have that intention, till the spy baby and the puppy story comes in. To be honest, even the baby vs puppy seemed very promising, but they kind of forgot to dwell on it. Wait a minute are you thinking, that The Boss Baby had 2 brilliant story plots that got lost into each other? Bravo, you just got my point.

Trivia- According to wikipedia ‘The Boss Baby is a 2017 American computer-animated comedy film, loosely based on the 2010 picture book of the same name, written and illustrated by Marla Frazee.

Movie best enjoyed with– well a pillow, just in case your kids decide to nap.

For more Kid-friendly movies to binge watch this weekend try these:

The Good Dinosaur : My 4 year old was spell bound by the visual effects, the friendship between Arlo, The Good Dinosaur and Spot, his human pet.

Kung Fu Panda 3 : Like its previous two parts, Kung Fu Panda 3 is fun, light and very entertaining. The characters are warm, dialogues sharp and the story positive.Like its previous two parts, Kung Fu Panda 3 is fun, light and very entertaining. Coco : There is no running away from the skeletons in the outstanding animated movie- Coco, because it is based on a Mexican tradition 'Dia de los Muertos' or 'The Day of the Dead'. But if the land of the dead, as depicted in this emotional saga is a truth, well then grant me the citizenship today.

I\'m sure this movie has its own set of loopholes, but they\'re definitely fun on a bad day, not just for kids but adults too :P
