The Butler House-restaurant review {Delhi}

There is a belief in Delhi that for restaurants with good ambience head to South Delhi and for good food head to Punjabi Bagh. So when I got an opportunity to go to Club Road, Punjabi Bagh, I decided to test the fate of my taste buds. Looking around for a break from all the chain restaurants, the very Irish facade of this particular one called ‘The Butler House’ caught my attention. It sure looked promising and we were too hungry to think twice. We are glad we made this choice as the food was finger-licking good indeed. Even for the vegetarians!

KetchupMoms Rating: 3/5

Ambience: Very warm, inviting and a place you would like to spend an evening reliving your old memories or making new ones. The Butler House is a friendly little den, you will be happy to discover.

Service: Prompt and friendly. The chef at The Butler House is a sweetheart and even treated us to Wasabi Prawns. No, no they were not stingy at all, he had happily bought the sting down with some Milkmaid.

Food: I am a hardcore carnivore but had two vegetarians at our table. Thankfully The Butler House had more than just cottage cheese and mushroom options available there. In fact only after having gobbled up half the plate did I realise I was having pure vegetarian Soya kebabs. They were flavourful and super tasty. So were the crisp vegetarian cigar rolls and really soft Rajma Galouti Kebabs.

Then I got lured by the delectable chicken tikkas. Melt-in-the-mouth and totally worth it. The Spaghetti Arabiata was well cooked and the sauce was deliciously light. The Butler House cocktails gave the food refreshing company. I loved my ice tea, which I believe very few outlets get right. Oh and before I forget, their chicken gravy stuffed bun was a nice filling dish.

So next time you want to have a delicious meal you know where to head.
